Cocaine!
It was just your average Thursday. I woke up to the usual red blinking light on my blackberry telling me I had some messages. I didn’t expect this text, especially since I apparently got it around two in the morning.
“CallMOM.” It was from my Father. I was first astonished that he a) knew my number and b) new how to text on the cell phone that serves as a paperweight on his dashboard. I should take an aside and tell you that my Dad is not…technology competent. I mean, he tries, but this is the guy who has to ask my Mom for my number every time he wants to call me.
I look at Vahid and told him what the text said. Then I immediately called my Mom because OMG! something could be wrong.
I come to find out that the only thing wrong is that my Dad reads my blog.
“Hello.”
“Why did Dad want me to call you?’
“Oh. Well you know your Father. He saw you last blog about Canada and was worried that you were doing drugs.” (I should note my Mother says this nonchalantly because she gets that the whole cocaine thing was a joke. Or so she thinks.)
“What?” So I just woke up and was a little groggy and didn’t quite put two and two together for a few minutes.
“You know, on your last blog you put that you do cocaine and your Dad got all paranoid that you started doing drugs and he wanted me to call you at midnight last night. I told him that you were probably asleep because you had school but he was all freaking out and I guess he texted you.”
“What? I do NOT do drugs. Jesus.”
“Well, Sarah, what did you expect. It’s your Father.”
“Oh my god. What a dork.”
There was some other name calling but it was mostly drowned out by the maniacal laughter of Vahid. He got quite the kick out of the whole thing.
So there you have it. I am now the black sheep of my family who DOES COCAINE!
Well, if it’s any consolation… I’M THE ROCK-N-ROLL CLOWN… AND I DO A LOT OF COCAINE TOO!! K-K-K-YEAH!!

Parents can be like that. Too bad your dad hasn’t been in on the whole back and forth tweeting that Vahid, Dave2, Hilly, myself and countless others that talk about doing cocaine. But then if he were, we wouldn’t be reading this blog post right now.
