The Zoo
So I’ve been to the zoo twice now. I’ve yet to see the Rhinoceros or the Sun Bear but I’ve seen a lot of animals. If you know me you know that my favorite thing to do is to go the zoo (or the aquarium) or anywhere where I can look at animals really. So since Vahid and I found out that every second Tuesday of the month is $2 admission for the zoo we’ve been going. These are the highlights of both trips. The Ocelot mid-stretch (I waited FOREVER to get a picture of this cat. Glad it paid off.)
The Lions.
Sea Lions.
Female Gibbon. (The males stay black while the females turn blonde during sexual maturity.)
Mandrill. (This is the male and this, believe it or not, a greeting.)
Dwarf Caiman.
VAHID’! And a Lorkeet. You can you feed them nectar and this one just happened to land on his shoulder.
The rest of my set is here complete with comments by a “photographer” correcting me as I named animals wrong.
Enjoyed looking through the entire set. For what it’s worth, I thought her corrections were very polite. From your Twitter comments, I had anticipated criticism of your photography.

I love it! I can’t wait to take Nolan to the zoo for the first time. I’m going to wait until he’s two, since the trip is so far (for the decent zoo) & we’ve got way too much shit planned this summer.

These are officially the best! zoo pictures I have ever seen.
Whenever I try to take pictures at the zoo I come home with endless shots of seemingly empty cages, but THERE, do you see that little speck of brown? That’s 3/4 of the right ear of the Grizzly bear that grinned at me! What do you mean you don’t see anything? YOU AREN’T LOOKING HARD ENOUGH.

Kerrie Anne: Ha! Would it help to know that I had a LOT of pictures that didn’t turn out? Like I took over 200 and got like forty total (for both trips.) and on some occasions even gave up because the animals was not cooperating. I mean, HI, I am the one with the camera Bear you need to look at me so I can get a good picture. Sheesh.
