So almost two and a half months ago Vahid and I took a trip to Seattle for the weekend for our three year anniversary. It was a bit early, but we went during my spring break so I wouldn’t also have to do homework the whole time we were there. We drove up Saturday morning and drove back Sunday night. Just a quick stay.

Saturday was running around the pike place market. Picking up Humphrey and dragging him all over downtown. Going up to the Space Needle and riding that tram to and fro. Apparently that’s what you do.

Because I am like a tiny five year old, I had to visit the aquarium and the zoo. The aquarium was a lot of fun to take pictures in. I bought a new camera before the trip (this one specifically) and it has this neat feature where it takes a one second video and slows it down into two or three second mini clips. It’s pretty cool. I haven’t done anything with those yet though. I’m not really sure what to do with them.

By the time we got to the zoo we only had an hour before they close. We saw some monkeys though so it wasn’t all bad.

We also took a cruise of the bay and I saw my first movie in IMAX, 3D no less. There was also a rushed visit to the EMP as well.

I think that’s all the “we did this and that of it all.” Of course that wasn’t all that happened. It’s been so long, I feel silly recapping it all.
Most of it lives in the memories. And the excitement that we have to go back because as much as we did, we didn’t accomplish everything on our agenda.

We need more vacations. I promise I won’t run you ragged on the next one. Nice and relaxed, honest!

Yay vacations! I am serious about that end of the school life vacation. IT IS HAPPENING!
How can it be 3 years already? Must’ve been a time warp in there somewhere.
Congratulations!
And thanks for sharing your recap, I enjoyed your photos!

I know right? Still seems like just yesterday this all happened. So crazy!
Thanks
Really sad I missed it. Glad you had a great time without me!

I did have fun! I was sad we all couldn’t get together, but I hear rumors of seeing you in August…so maybe that will happen!
Seattle is a fun city and one that I’ve done in a day (with my daughter last July).
Here’s to future vacations that are not as rushed and are more relaxing (quoting Vahid’s comment)

Yes to relaxation! Although being busy has it’s advantages too. Our next vacation is a road trip to Oregon coast (more south than where we are) and I’m hoping that won’t be so rushed as Seattle was.
