Tulips are for Spring.

Anyone who knows anything, and by anyone I mean Vahid, knows that my favorite flowers are tulips. While I love flowers, tulips always make me a little happier.

It’s no surprise that when I found out there was a tulip festival here I was eager to go. We didn’t make it the first year but this spring we set out to go.

It was a cool day, overcast, the ground was mud. It was still amazing to see the rows of tulips stretching out. It was no tulip fields in the Netherlands, but it was still amazing considering it wasn’t too far outside the city.

It was a great day tromping around the tulips. Definitely a great spring day.

Very cool! Our spring was a bit wonky here so we didn’t get a lot of tulips. Pesky rodents disturbed a lot of the flower beds so that may have had something to do with it too.

Don’t knock your local tulip fields. They look awesome to me! :)

Thanks! It was super awesome, I just know it’s probably nothing when compared. I loved it! I never had anything like this growing up in California. It was here’s some almond trees or pecan trees. No pretty flowers.

  2. Gorgeous pics. Mine never turn out as good as yours :) Glad you guys had a nice time!

Thank you! I owe it all to my new camera, which I have a blog post coming up on now that I’ve used it a bit more.
