– strawberries showing up at the market – the slowly warming weather – spending Saturday swimming laps then perusing the market at PSU – the lap pool at PSU Rec Center – learning to swim correctly – prescription goggles – actually seeing in the pool –
– starting up my yoga practice again – working out before work, even when that means getting up before 6am – mostly having a flexible schedule to allow me to do things like attend a yoga class – lemongrass tea –
– my new essential oil diffuser – filling my place with calming and relaxing essential oil mixes – not making a bunch of weekend plans to recharge – my car, it’s perfect for our needs – not having a bunch of stress from wedding planning – feeling better overall, even with a recent anxiety episode – the sun that’s outside right now –
-having a lot of energy in the mornings – walking to work, even in the rain – the crispness of the air after a rain – the bright sunny days – the weather in general has been quite nice – savoring a warm drink on a chilly morning –
-ginger – visiting the Japanese Gardens for free thanks to my Lan Su Membership – getting my library card – using the library app to read several e-books – all the comics I’ve been reading lately – the Birds of Prey series – Friday morning reading dates –
-really focusing on my health – learning how certain foods affect me – still going strong on vastly limiting the amount of sugar I’m eating – not feeling tempted by all the treats at work anymore – keeping up with consistent workouts – feeling stronger –
-feeling really positive about some things that are happening, even if it means I’m in a difficult situation now – feeling like the universe is pointing me a really great direction –
What things are giving you joy right now? How’s your week been going?
-my winter boots, wearing leggings to work with long sweaters, walking in the crisp morning to wake up (I walk five blocks to work), all the sunshine that has been happening lately, not having to walk in the rain all the time
-apple cider vinegar, jasmine green tea, continuing my journey to be present with myself and be healthy, feeling like I am coming into my own, avoiding the cake that was brought into my office from my favorite bakery because I didn’t need it
-my homemade salad dressings, having some good go-to sides to bring to work, taking time out of my workday to eat lunch (even if that isn’t always honored), taking time to disconnect from my computer and take my time eating, finding enjoyment in each day (even though it’s some times hard to do)
What is making you happy this week?
-surprise jams from friends that are delicious – being able to have only a taste of said delicious jam and putting it away – not craving sugar – but seriously I know some awesome people who make delicious things –
-feeling like I’m working with the universe instead of against the universe – having some potentially big things on the horizon – having what feels like a cascade of opportunities come my way – changing the way I think about things such as money has made me feel more abundant in my life –
-seeing the first whispers of spring – the sunny and kind of warm days – still being able to have a fire at night – spending the evenings reading and drinking tea – brewing jasmine green tea and having the scent of jasmine fill the house – getting back into the rhythm of working out and being more active –

I love a good photo. I love the process of taking photos, looking at the world and finding beauty in it. Today I am sharing a few of my favorite photos I have come across lately. I hope you find a bit of joy in them like I do.
